2019 International Baking Show Will Be the Largest in history, Holding Han Pastry Innovation Competi 2019-04-23

Taiwan's baking strength attracts more global attention, and the baking market reaches 60 billion business opportunities every year. The biggest baking event this year will be, "Taipei International Baking and Equipment Show 2019". It will be inaugurated in Nangang Exhibition center from March 15th to 18th. There will be 417 manufacturers participating in the show and 1,800 booths in total, with the largest scale in history. There will also be four major competitions. The Organizer estimates that the number of visitors is expected to exceed 160,000 or even achieve a higher number.

"Han Pastry (Chinese Pastry) Innovation Competition" is the most important event of this annual baking show. Han Pastry has a long history as a cultural asset. There are a lot of specialty stores of Han Pastry in Taiwan. Thus, Taiwan can be called the best place to carry forward the culture of Han Pastry. In order to create the new opportunities for Han Pastry industry and make Han Pastry link up with the world, Taipei Bakery Association would like to host Han Pastry innovation contest and a series of related activities. The final will be held in the competition area in Baking Show on March 15th to 17th. There will be fifteen specialty bakeries in Taiwan and will compete with each other. Taipei mayor Ko Wen-Je also attends a press conference to cheer on the event. He hopes to bring tourist revenues by baking. Kao Chui-Tsung (The president of Taipei Bakery Association) hopes that after the champion of innovation competition comes out, champion can share the way of making Han Pastry and promote it with others who also works in baking industry. He believes that originality won’t be replaced. Only by collaboration with each other can carry forward the Han Pastry industry and make Han Pastry be a new choice for Taiwanese souvenir in the future.

In addition, the forum of International Federation of Chinese Bakery Confectionery Association (IFCBCA) will be held at the first day and the theme will be "Asia Han Pastry Innovation and Market Opportunities". Han Pastry manufacturers from Asian countries will be invited to share the current situation of Han Pastry market. The manufacturer Namchow Group will also expand the exhibition of "New Trend of Han Pastry" in the show area, and expect to make everyone hold culture of Han Pastry in high regard by combining three major activities of "Forum, Exhibition and Competition".

In addition, the trend of "baking frenzy" is rising, and "household baking" will also become a highlight of this year! For the first time, the organizers will launch online "Household Baking Catalogue", including food processor, nut grinder, yogurt maker, waffle maker, dough mixer, electronic scales, waffle premix, cake premix and other items. It emphasizes that it is easy to bake at home and seize the opportunity of DIY home baking business.

At the same time, in order to keep expanding Taiwan's overseas baking business, Kao Chui-Tsung also announces in advance that a baking show will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, this October. By way of expending baking business overseas and interacting with foreign suppliers directly, it will enhance the visibility of Taiwan's baking.
